Another Indian Summer Is In The Books And It Was Our Best One Yet!

This past weekend, we took our oldest campers, the Collegiate and Teens, back to camp for one last bonfire, s’mores and so much more! Mother Nature was on our side. It was a true Indian Summer; the weather was beautiful, warm and lovely.

We picked our Indian Summer Campers up on Long Island and in Paramus and while the campers were traveling to camp …..

The staff was busy behind the scenes, getting camp ready for their arrival …..

Our volunteer staff was ready …..

Some of our Leadership Team was on hand as well. …..And Camp looked terrific! …..

As the Campers got off of the bus, we were greeted by much happiness and “we are starving”! Not for long they were not! We served one of the favorite camp lunches – Pizza! and followed it with the best snack ever – fresh baked chocolate chip cookies and ice cream.  …..

The Campers enjoyed having Camp to themselves. Some walked around, hung out, and took photos, while others played basketball, went fishing or went on a hike. …..

After a dinner of BBQ, evening activity was a camp fire with traditional s’mores made with graham crackers and non traditional ones made with chocolate chip cookies. …..

After brunch, all of the Campers and Staff received their commemorative Indian Summer T-shirt. We announced it was time to board the bus and were greeted with one, big collective “no!”. …..
