West Swim Team Champions!

A huge congratulations to our 2nd Session campers who participated in this year’s swim meet!  TLW came out on top, winning every age category, with an impressive total of 142 points against Timber Lake (82) and Iroquois Springs (61.)

10 and under:
The girls were able to hold their own against the other two camps. Isabelle S. started off the swim meet with a 1st place in the 25yd freestyle. Felicity H., Alexa F., Sydney P. and Samantha S. came up for swim team practice early in the morning and it really paid off as they all took part in the medley relay and came out victorious! The boys also worked hard, winning all but two events with Trevor Z. showing great swimming in both individual and relay races. Arran E. and Shane N. put in an impressive kickboard race too. Logan Mc., Eric S., Conor K. and Trevor Z. had victories in both the medley relay and the freestyle relay.

13 and under:
This was the largest category and there was a lot of competition! The boys won every event gaining 25 points to Iroquois Springs’ 11, and Timber Lake’s 9, who were left fighting for 2nd and 3rd place. The girls also managed an impressive win in all but the medley relay. Sara S. won the freestyle and the backstroke with Chloe Q. putting and impressive 1st place performance in the breast stroke.

Sophomores:
The girls (Jordyn P., Alessandra C., Alicia S., Tanya M. and Lauryn M.) all showed us what great competition is about!  For the boys, Chucky M. won his freestyle, Jean H. won the breast stroke, and Jake S. finished off the individual races by winning the back stroke – all in impressive times. We had a large turn out for the boys relay teams with Ben M., Ryan M., Matt K. and Ryan K. winning the medley relay and Ben L., Jordan B., Ryan C. and Chucky bringing it home in the freestyle relay.

Teens:
The Teens showed great spirit, with some representing West in the water and others helping with the officiating (a big thanks to Rachel S., Lindsey G., Malory R. and Ali K. for all their help), with Ryan C. and Cameron helping with all timings for the day.

15 and under:
The girls won both relays with Jenna W., Julia M., Amanda D. and Valerie S. all putting in sterling performances. The boys managed a clean sweep winning every event! Kudos to Jordan S., Michael F., Brandon .C, Andrew B. and Kyle R. for their fantastic performances and creating a great atmosphere supporting the team to victory.

CONGRATULATIONS to all the athletes from Timber Lake, Iroquois Springs and Timber Lake West… What a great day this was!
