STARFISH Values Program

While parents are the primary source of values education and character building, camp offers a great opportunity to reinforce the values that children are already learning at home. In a recreational setting that includes day to day socialization, competitive sports, performing arts, and opportunities to step out of their comfort zones, children have a unique chance to practice, refine and bring these values to life.

The STARFISH program not only supports our camp’s mission of teaching children the skills of making and keeping friends while building self-esteem; it creates a safe environment that makes accomplishing that mission possible.

Every Friday evening, our full camp community gets together in our Amphitheatre to recognize campers who have embodied one of the STARFISH values. Our dedicated and loving staff members share inspiring stories of what their campers did and how their actions ultimately made our community kinder and more welcoming. When our campers come to the stage to accept their awards you can see the pride in their smiles and you can hear the support of their bunk mates as they cheer them on from the audience. This tradition is such a memorable part of each week at camp and we cannot wait for your future camper to be a part of it.
