Generation iY – An Entirely New World

We have always believed that one of the critical components of the camp experience is the opportunity for kids to “unplug”. Over the last 25 years technology has grown at a ferocious pace and it is clearly a large part of all of our lives these days. There are the upsides and downsides to this ever growing landscape.

Technology has altered the way we interact with others and that change has not always been good. Many in Generation iY sleep with their cell phones, have been known to start and end relationships via text and even shower with their phones, so as not to miss a text, a tweet, Instagram or Snapchat.
