Last week the TLC Family of Camps participated in a very spirited Camp T-Shirt Day, sponsored by Camp CRAZE and which benefitted SCOPE (Summer Camp Opportunities Promote Education, a non-profit organization whose mission is to provide children in need the edge to succeed in life through a summer camp experience.)
Campers, staff, parents and alumni from all over the world donned their favorite camp gear from our friends at Everything Camper, then took photos and posted them on Twitter with the hashtag #CampTShirtDay. For every photo sent in, a $2 donation was made to SCOPE. Photos came in from around the world, from the youngest of campers to life-long camp veterans, proving that campers and staff are not only passionate about camp, but in true camp spirit, will jump in to help a good cause!
In total, over 3,000 pictures were sent in to CampCraze.com which raised $6,380 for SCOPE. The TLC Family of Camps had 290 pictures, with Timber Lake West contributing 47 photos!
Thank you to all of our campers, staff, alumni and camp families!!! This was an amazing day which helped to exemplify what we are all about and how important we are not just to one another, but to those who are less fortunate than us.
