With camp quickly approaching, I can't go a day without thinking about the summer. I am grateful for all the memories from past summers and can not wait to make my 10th summer at West the best ever.

Returning to camp for my tenth summer should prove to be a good testament that Timber Lake West becomes a part of you, it becomes your home. People come for one summer and get hooked, it has become a second home to people all around the globe. This is also a part of what makes TLW so special, we are able to meet and connect with people from all different states, countries, backgrounds and nationalities, and instantly, we are changed.

The fires, they burn through the winters, until we return...Timber Lake West, we love, we leave, we learn.

I so enjoy the freedom a camp doctor brings, helping the kids and staff without any concern of the clock ticking, and no worries about endless paperwork. I need to go to camp now!
Joe D. – Camp Doctor
I am actually addicted to camp...I can't stop going back! I can not think of a place in the world where I am happier. What keeps me coming back as a member of the staff are the exceptional people that I meet each summer from all over the world. I love knowing that I have places to stay with friends from around the globe, from New Zealand to Canada, England to South Africa, and more!
Jess F. – Group Leader
Camp is a magical place where you can be yourself and grow into the person you are meant to be. I return to camp year after year for the amazing staff and campers who are all there for the same reason, to better a child’s life, to make a difference, and to be that person that a child runs to when they get off the bus on the first day.
Cassie G. – Division Leader
At camp, I wake up every morning with a smile on my face and go to sleep at night with that same smile! These memories keep me warm all winter long.
Nancy H. – Girls’ Head Counselor
This is only my fourth year at Timber Lake West, but the charmed adventures and experiences with campers, counselors and other staff, enriches my life with colorful memories. Those memories and the thought of camp carry me from the time camp ends until I am on my way back to its beautiful setting in the Catskill Mountains.
